Like the medical, well, I've never gone down a diagnosis path.
But the more research I've done into neurodivergence,
Let's just say I relate.
Let's just say I relate.
And in the neurodivergence literature, one of the things about verbal processing is that it serves two different purposes depending on your divergence.
Part of it is it's helping you.
compensate for the altered executive functioning in that particularly where you've got differences to neurotypical people in working memory.
So verbal processing, thinking out loud, saying everything out loud helps to overcome the challenges that neurodivergent people might have with working memory or executive functions.
The other thing, and this one relates so deeply in my core for me, for many neurodivergent people apparently, again, this is a research.
I am not a specialist in any of this stuff.
This is just the research that I have read, I've observed, I've absorbed.
Now, as someone who even in my primary intimate relationships, I've often been mocked isn't the right word, but it's a running joke.
You and your need to put everything into words.
It's like, yeah, I need to put things into words to understand the feelings.
I need to put things into words to make sense of the big complex stuff.
And as again, I've done more research on this and as I've kind of observed myself more,
This is why my journaling practice is so, so powerful to me because it's a way of thinking out loud.
Now, when we come back to rambling, think about this.
If this is ringing true for you, if you're sitting here going, oh, my goodness, this is me.
Well, this is how we think.
