The point of this particular discussion is, one, I hope you've seen that rambling isn't the curse that we make it out to be.
And two, you don't need to be a brief, concise, articulate on-message communicator in order to be effective.
In fact, the opposite of articulate is not effective.
rambling, if that makes sense.
And I often hear people come to me, oh Kat, I ramble too much, I need to be more articulate.
No, no, no, no, no.
As you've just heard, I am incredibly articulate even when I ramble.
It's more about how do you take your listener on a journey that is meaningful to them and how do you ask for space and for grace when you just need to be in your mind.
I also want to show you, and I really hope this episode has done that, that even as a rambler, even as someone who has all of these challenges, I can still be a highly effective communicator.
It's just about being present and threading that needle.
And actually, I shouldn't use threading the needle as a metaphor because it suggests that it's a really narrow eye.
