And, you know, they get horrendous abuse themselves.
And that social media shoutiness and division is very corrosive to democracy, really.
That's genuine, isn't it?
You know, I always think that when you see prime ministers leaving, you know, we've seen quite a few of them leaving Downing Street recently.
And, you know, I've had the privilege of being there in the street, you know, metres away from them when that at most.
you know, vulnerable moment in their lives, really.
And I think you do, I find it very emotional watching it.
political point no I've just given you two different ends of the spectrum there they both gave me a different insight into them as people and I think that's what we want to get across in my new show is the sort of humanity of it the kind of what's really going on there you know let's not do the lines to take and the sort of you know the it's just cutting through that cacophony and getting to the heart of it do you feel like they need to like you to come on
I think personally, I think it's about liking.
It's a really good question.
I think it's you've got to have a rapport with people.
You know, you've got to be interested in people as human beings, as I am.
And I am fascinated by politics anyway.
So, you know, but if it was someone from business, because we're going to be ranging beyond Westminster in this new show, you know, you've got to be interested in what people are doing and what they want to talk about.
That's decent and polite.
And I am interested in people and what they do.
And so I think that's what matters is that people know that.
