I'm a completely visual learner, so I really loved looking up other people's accounts that I knew from my high school.
And when I first created mine, I looked up a former friend and a classmate, and they had so many different experiences that I realized I didn't have.
I only had one work experience, and this person seemed to have everything you needed already as a freshman in college, and internships, activities, everything.

And it can definitely feel like you're inadequate and not doing enough ever.
It's a huge boost of happiness when you get a like or when you get a connection.
It feels like you're making, you're getting more successful on LinkedIn because that's kind of the point of LinkedIn is to make these connections, to make these
networking experiences happen.
And when I get connections with people I know, it's just kind of like, oh, this is me growing my network.
This is me growing my connections with other people.
But it's definitely an interesting thing when I get connections from people I don't really know.
And I've tried to make it where it's people I do know, because that's kind of the point, I think, of LinkedIn.
But it's kind of turned into this weird professional social media platform where you want to get
these 500 plus connections when I don't think I have that many personal relationships with people where I'd feel comfortable asking for a favor or something like that.
Yeah, I've recently updated my profile picture to be a more professional headshot.
I had an old photo of me because the only professional headshots I've ever had was my senior picture.
And as you can imagine, physically and just in general, you change a lot between high school, senior year and sophomore college.

tried very hard to find a photo that I really liked that also encapsulated how I felt about myself and I just couldn't.
Luckily, the career center at Wesleyan had a LinkedIn headshot and I went in and unfortunately, I didn't really end up liking that photo of myself because I didn't feel like I was dressed up enough.
