So these people were in our home and, you know, we would talk to them and of course about Jake and then they'd get to know us.

So one of the

early, what was the title?

Early intervention specialist, I think was the title.

She had found out what I wanted to do and what I was starting to take classes for.

And she said, you know, I think you would be great doing what I do.

And you have a lot of the classes under your belt already.

Why don't you maybe explore it?

And it might be something nice for you to, you know, get your feet wet in the field.

And, and one thing led to another.

I applied for that job and got it.

And then working a couple of years in that company, met a speech therapist, um, an SLP and we developed a relationship.

And then she told me about this licensure called SLPA, which was like new ish at the time.

I feel like not, it was around for maybe five, seven years at that time, but I feel like not a lot of people knew about it.

Um, so then that kind of started my path with speech and, um,

went to school, you know, well changed my directory, I should say, and my trajectory and got my SLPA license, got licensed.

And then I started working and I loved what I was doing so much as an SLPA.

And I started working in the clinic setting actually.

Um, that I thought I, I can stay doing this for quite some time.
