I want to echo the sentiments of my very good friend, Attorney Merritt, who was just talking about the importance of process, speaking as a former prosecutor.

I think that

What I can say is public pressure has its place in terms of how things are.

But we live in an age where things get distorted so quickly that sometimes too much public pressure from the wrong places in the wrong ways can give cover to a bad investigation.

Because what ends up happening is that law enforcement

And other entities just end up saying, oh, well, you guys are all just a mob.

And they just sort of ignore the legitimate and rightful requests and demands for an investigation.

I talk about in my reel on social media today how this family has done effectively a master class in what is supposed to happen in these types of situations.

They have retained counsel, competent counsel in the form of my friend Brent Ben Crump.

They have called for an independent autopsy, a third party autopsy.

They have continued to put pressure on the right pressure on investigators for information that should help support the investigation.

All of this sort of like makeshift timelines that people have come up with online don't do much other than so dissension.

If you have that type of information, take it to law enforcement because oftentimes the only thing that it does is create confusion.

What I will say is,

Theories do not get convictions, evidence does.

Evidence is what leads to arrests.

And while it is difficult for the public to understand, yes, it is Mississippi, which means that we need to remain vigilant.

Yes, it is the South, which means that we have to keep our foot on the gas, but the public is not driving the car here.

And I think that people need to be okay with that and understand that in terms of how we process what we do and do not know.
