It only tries to match you.
It's not a back and forth.
It's them pandering to you.
And we know what pandering feels like.

Sometimes you go to a party and you get into that state where you're asking other person question after question after question, and they're not asking you any questions in return.

I say, look, I've been asking you so many questions.
I'm sure you have a ton of questions for me.
Let me give you a chance to ask me some questions.
Does that work?

They're just not good at asking questions.
They need permission.
They need an invitation to question you about something.
