I don't know.

Maybe I tend to overthink, but I resisted.

There's a song that no one's heard yet called I Used to Be Cringe, which is, again, kind of funny sounding.

I wrote down.

It's very personal, but it's like, it almost sounds like it's like a Broadway play song, kind of.

I don't know a lot about Broadway songs, but it feels...

That's okay if you don't.

But I resisted writing that, finishing that for a very long time.

But like, older songs that were the hardest to write,

I think How Long Has This Been Going On was like a really challenging song for me to finish just on a technical.

There's, oh God, what is it called?

It's really groovy, but he sings on top of the kick drums.

And I heard another song where someone did that too.

They sing on top of the kick drum.

It's punctual.

And then it made me think, how long has this been going on?

Why can't the percussion be part of the melody?

So that was a hard thing to accept in my mind because I was like, there has to be a chord progression over that.
