We think as time goes on, though, that portfolio construction is actually pretty simple.

There are only five asset classes you can invest in, Australian equities, global equities, PE, VC, real assets, so property and infrastructure, and then private debt, private credit, fixed interest kind of thing.

There's only those five asset classes.

We still think most people should be having a reasonable smattering across all of those, but we're happy to be neutral or above neutral in global equities right now because we think that that's where the best returns will come from.

So our target allocation of global equities is somewhere between sort of 30% and 35%.

We have probably moved to something like 28% or 29% of client portfolios over the last little bit.

We are big ones.

And I've said on your podcast a number of times, we like to be a bit dynamic.

We like to have powder dry.

We like to take opportunity when weakness and dislocation comes along.

We had cash on the sidelines, and we don't have the biggest business in the world.

We managed just over three bill.

Now, we had $400 or $500 million of client money sitting in cash in that March period.

We probably deployed $150 to $200 million of it on those really weak days on 9 March, 19 March, and 29 March, or whatever they were.

because we saw underlying fundamentals are still being quite robust.

So we wanted to take allocations closer to those maximum positions because we think we'll benefit from them over time.

Yeah, our returns here have obviously been muted.

I think there's two pieces to that.

One, we're probably a contra-investment to the rest of the world.

You know, the rest of the world is AI and data centers and pharma in Europe, and we're banks and mining.
