How much does sugar and insulin affect cholesterol?
When I think of cholesterol, I think of butter.
I don't think of sugar.
Quite Mediterranean diet-y.
Right.
Good fats.
I would have thought that was a healthy fat, but that's actually not.
Right.
I mean, I love butter and I eat quite a lot of butter and it's just something to watch out for.
How much is too much butter and cheese?
Because they are quite a foundation of my life.
What about things like oily fish and avocados?
Are they good or bad?
I think there's a myth that if you have high cholesterol, it's because you're overweight.
But my dad was really, really skinny.
He was like a string bean.
And he had massively high cholesterol because of his diet.
So you can be very slim and have high cholesterol.
No, it was definitely his diet.
Like he wouldn't eat all day and he'd come back and he'd have three spoons of mayonnaise and butter.
