And I try to, and I've really leaned on my girls that, you know, one's a senior and one's a junior in college.
And then one will be a senior in high school at Lone Peak of like,
what works yeah your generation without telling them that yeah so i've really leaned on them in terms of picking their brain trying to find out how to how to connect to these kids because like i mean i'm 47 i can't connect to the kids like i could 10 years ago yeah and like playing at duke was a big deal right playing in college was a big deal playing europe was a big deal now it's like yeah okay cool but like and like i'm gonna go do this tick tock dance yeah all right so i got to know those things and like that is super unique man i never thought i'd be doing that
But that's kind of like, so that's how you connect to them.
You have to find ways to connect to them.
But I will say it's getting harder and harder because sometimes the agent, the parents are like, don't talk to the kid.
You talk to us, the agent, blah, blah, blah.
Man, I got to be honest.
I do not like that.
Now I'm adapting to it, but I don't like that because I don't truly think two things.
I don't think that, A, I don't get to know the kid really well.
And I don't think he gets to know us.
And I think that's super important when you're making a decision.
Like, who are you playing for?
Now you eventually will get to know him.
Yeah.
And that's one reason I love BYU is I still think that, like, you have BYU kids or in-state kids or local LDS or, you know, in-the-states LDS guys that, like,
you can still recruit the old school way.
