Reagan was playing a guy named George Gipp, who was a I think he was a running back on the team who got sick and died.
He's I watched the movie.
He's literally in the movie for like 12 minutes.
I watched the movie for the book, but he loved that idea of him as the Gipper.
And so that carried through his entire life.
I mean, you would never know that that was a literally a made up character that.
Ronald Reagan, the actor, was playing.
I think, you know, when people say Ronald Reagan, say, oh, yeah, the kipper.
I'm like, that's from a movie that he was in for like 10 minutes.
But and for a guy who didn't really even care about sports.
But again, the best politicians and whether you like them or you hate them, when you get elected president, I think you have to be included in the conversation of the best politicians.
The best politicians have always understood that sports is a way to connect with people, to tell stories, to humanize yourself.
And Reagan, I mean, he was the first person to standardize bringing winning championship teams to the White House.
It had been done a little bit here and there before him, but he loved being around winners.
And he figured me being around
You know, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson on the Lakers in the early 80s.
That's great for me.
They're winners.
