And that was it.
That's where my life of crime began over a pumpkin I never stole.
The one part about that weekend that it was stolen or whatever was actually one of the first times I spent a weekend with my father.
And I never got, I never spent time with him because I really didn't know who he was.
And somehow he linked back up with my mother and she said, hey, I want you to spend some time with Chris or whatever.
And he did.
And it was that weekend.
And when it came down to the cops coming to the house, stealing the pumpkin and everything, I didn't have the support.
She didn't back me up.
I don't know if it was fear.
I don't know what it was from her, but there was no support saying, no, he was with his father.
It just never happened.
And with that, it put me in the criminal system, I guess you would call it.
And at that time in New Jersey, in Phillipsburg, they had a curfew.
I think it was around 10 o'clock.

Wasn't that big of a town.
It was a decent sized town, but it wasn't a big town back then.
It was just a blue collar town.
You know, we had industry and stuff like that then.
