This should be the future of how we file our taxes to make government more effective, efficient.
The week after tax day, they killed it.
They canceled the program.
Wow.
The whole point of the program is to make government more efficient and effective.
Why would you do that?
Their ostensible reason is because, oh, well, it's not worth the investment.
You're going to have to invest money to make government work better.
So I find it depressing.
I mean, I think the good news, though, is with a lot more people focusing on how do we make government more efficient and effective, we can work on those ideas now so that we can get direct file – that was the name of that program – back in place.
and have that in a lot of other spots across the government because we are going to have to rebuild on the other side.
And I think we're going to – it's not – nobody just wants to put everything back the way it was because it wasn't working great before.
So the opportunity will be how do we make things efficient and effective, and we've got to start working on that right now, right now.
Yeah, for sure.
