I think you know you've been around me long enough.
I've never said a bad word about Edmonton.
In light of all the commentary, you know, from my time there to teammates, to staff, to what have you, enjoyed my time and had a great run.
You know, loved playing.
You know, it was, as I said the other day on Jason Greger's show, you know, the arena and the rink was my sanctuary.
Just that was my peaceful time to be able to go to work and have fun and just, you know, embrace my teammates and the team and the game of hockey and kind of get away from all the outside noise and chatter.
I see people all the time all over the U.S., all over Canada when I'm traveling or when I'm up doing different TV broadcasts, what have you, walking around arenas.
I have people come up to me all the time saying, what an amazing run.
Thank you so much.
That was awesome.
And, you know, got a chance to see some of my old teammates that I hadn't seen in a long time earlier this winter in January for a couple of alumni events and just getting a chance to reconnect with them.
Some of them I hadn't seen since 06'.
other than playing against them on the ice.
And, you know, it's just great to reconnect.
We have such a bond together because of that run and because of what we're able to accomplish or almost accomplish.
Yeah.
And by the way, if you read my book, a big part of the book is about facing adversity and challenging yourself.
And you will fail in how you pick yourself up.
how you attack next and how you learn and grow from it is what makes us and makes us who we are and gives us the grit and resilience to keep pushing forward and trying again.
I'm happy doing what I am.
