Yeah, to me, it feels like yesterday, honestly.

Yeah, in the VC world, I tell people the whiskey's been around for 11 years and they're like, what?

Like, I heard about you three years ago.

Like, what the hell were you doing at the beginning?

I was like, figuring it out, man.

We basically made no money in the first year.

In the second year, we made like $13,000.

And then the third year, we made like $150,000 or something, and it continued to scale at a good pace.

So, no, we actually went the route of let's just make things so cheap that, like, even a few customers will have a impact on us.

So we really didn't actually—the 13K was actually 2007.

So 2006, we made, like, nothing.

But my co-founder and I were living in a 10-person house.

Like, our girlfriends are living with us, like, all these other people in the house.

So, we were spending $300 a month on rent.

And our office was my co-founder's bedroom.

And so, that was another $300.

So, our total—the total amount of money we needed to make to cover all of our expenses was, like, $1,500 a month.

And so, that's actually—

pretty quickly once we started to get just our first customer for $400 and another one for $400.

And we just went the cheap route, basically.
