To compound the gravity of the situation, within two weeks of her death, approval for her evacuation was given.
But, of course, by then it was far too late.
Now, this child did not die of celiac disease.
Children do not die of celiac disease.
She died of starvation because she was prevented from getting the food that she needed to sustain her life.
So this is not a direct death in the sense of the child having been shot.
But it was murder nonetheless because she died as a direct consequence of the military operations and the political actions taken by the Israeli authorities in preventing food being admitted into Gaza.
Yeah, yeah.
This boy's death was the subject of those three questions I asked that you played at the beginning of the program.
This was not in Gaza.
This was the West Bank.
And an example of how the same tactics that the Israeli military forces are applying in Gaza are now increasingly being applied on the West Bank.
Not with the same level of seriousness, nothing like the same death rate,
But still the same kind of tactics.
This boy was living near the village of Tubas in the West Bank.
There had been a military operation being conducted by an Israeli unit within the town, but the gunfire had ceased.
And he and a relative...
were in the process of leaving their home to go outside to play.
And as this 14-year-old boy was on his doorstep, he was shot.
The other child retreated into the house at the same time.
