I'm going to bloody sleep in.

If it's the last thing I do, I'm going to sleep in.

And I just couldn't.

I just couldn't sleep in and I still can't sleep in.

And I have to admit that 23 years of getting up at stupid o'clock changed my DNA.

I used to be a night owl.

Before I was in radio, I was a copywriter, an ad writer.

And I had a little side hustle business and I wouldn't start work.

I would, you know, in my little rented flat, you know, put my cafeteria, I think they called you the Italian screw on coffee, percolator things that you always forget about.

And then you're like, what does that smell like?

Shit, it's on fire.

I wouldn't put that on until 10 p.m.

And that was, you know, my life.

I was a night owl from a baby.

Like mum was like, you never slept.

God damn you.

And nothing changed.

And then breakfast radio has changed my DNA.

And now I am an insufferable early bird.
