few not even a couple of months ago and they were forecasting that six days in advance that was getting blasted across all the travel advisor groups that I'm in to give people time to relocate and
to plan a different destination to look at other options.
So I know couples are doing it, but it is something that has to be talked about when you're going into that area, that this is a risk, that this is something that could happen, whether it's for your honeymoon or your destination wedding.
The allure of those destinations is so popular, and part of that reason is social media.
instagram people want those iconic photo moments and they're willing to take the risk and know that they might not be able to do that well my photo days i've got some amazing photos with storms and umbrellas might not have been the safest thing in the world but we had some amazing photos we went to the bahamas in august which is technically august through october is like prime time for hurricane season now for us we felt like we were living on the surface of the sun we
too hot for you so hot it was so hot uh but you know we got a great deal and so we are like yeah it'll be fine and and it was thankfully but but sometimes it's not and then you find people scrambling and and upset and frustrated and disappointed that things don't work out and that can happen with travel that is something that i talk with
clients before they leave is this is part of the experience.
There are going to be hiccups.
As much as we can orchestrate things and have an idea, an agenda, there has to be some give and take with the flow.
Travel insurance or travel protection, the term is used interchangeably,
is something that I will always recommend to anyone.
Even if they're not working with me and I hear someone talking about travel, I will say, did you get travel protection?
Did you get travel insurance?
Yes, I have.
And I will continue to, that is one of my platforms because
When you are investing any amount of money into a destination, whether it's domestic or international, you run the risk that life will happen, whether that's incremental weather, whether that's COVID, whether that's somebody needing emergency surgery.
And you have to go back to what you agreed upon when you made that booking and that reservation.
So for all clients, I have multiple trusted insurance carriers that I work with that I can design quotes for and I'm not a licensed insurance agent.
So I don't comment on the coverage that I can direct the client to the actual insurance carrier.
But you are looking at so many different things.
