And it was an amazing meet-in, yeah.

And, yeah, the people, they were used to their traditional stuff, but somebody like myself, yourselves, would go over.
We were French-trained, or we saw stuff in France, and we'd bring it in and play presentations and stuff like that.
It kind of makes it a little bit different.
And they're open to that.
Oh, were they?
But still, they'd only come to you once a fortnight while they go through the restaurant three times a week.
It was more evening food.
Yeah, it was kind of like a fine dining.
Yeah, okay.
Kind of Italian fine dining is a bit, you know, different.
Yeah, we moved there when I was three.
My parents took over in 1973 and my dad was a sixth generation.
My mum's still alive, she's 84 and very much involved in the pub.
Yeah, yeah.
Sweeps outside every morning at half seven.
Yeah, it's amazing.
She's from Yorkshire originally, so she's tough.
and a great cook and I got a lot of my inspiration from her and especially baking stuff.
