So Clare House is the local children's hospice for Merseyside and the surrounding areas.
And most people will probably know us from our Wirral site, which is over in Clatterbridge, which has been open for 28 years now.
We offer things like end of life care, butterfly support, hydrotherapy session, things like that.
But recently, back in 2017, we bought a building over in West Derby in Liverpool.
which is five minutes away from Alder High and we have our day services there so we have things like sibling support which not a lot of people know that we do and we do things like counselling, complementary therapies there and like date respite but it's a really special place we look after children
from 20 weeks gestation all the way up to 25 years old.
And yeah, we support the whole family.
So it's not just about the child themselves.
It's about mum, dad, and the siblings, nan and grandad.
We try and get everybody, everyone involved.
So last year we supported around 500 families, and that is in all different ways.
And most of our funds, 80% of our funding comes from fundraising, so from the public, from community groups, from corporates.
So that comes from fundraising, people doing mad events, people jumping out of planes, people running marathons and all sorts.
You've got a challenge that you're going to mention later.
So that comes mainly from that.
That's what keeps our doors open.
And then we get 20% from the NHS.
So because we take services away from them, we do the end-of-life care.
We have our own cars that we'll go and collect children, things like that.
