Little by little, can't we just go in there and have your destroying angel just knock out every single one of these people groups overnight?

And then we could just start right in.

But God has his reasons.

He's got his plan.

He's got his process.

He's got things that are happening in each of us, and in each one of those Israelites as well.

And so, yes, we want the instant.

But just as they wanted to possess the land immediately...

We often desire the instant answers, success, or perfection that really is not practical.

These verses remind us that little by little growth protects us from being overwhelmed by blessings or situations that we're not yet equipped to handle.

Things would just happen too quickly.

We'd be overwhelmed.

and get in the way of being able to experience all that we want to experience in that promise that God has ahead.
