He wants us to rely upon Him every single step of the way.

He wants us to cling to Him in the small and in the big, every step of the way.

If we were all honest, and I'm speaking for myself here, but I believe that if we were all gut-wrenchingly honest, and if those Israelites were completely honest, if we got everything that we wanted in an instant,

We would be so prone to living our lives as if to say, okay, God, I'm good to go.

I'll let you know if I need you anymore.

We, so many times in our plenty, in the things that we achieve, we soon forget God.

We soon forget that he was the one that even allowed this to happen.

We get self-sufficient.

We get prideful.

We think that we can do it on our own.

Once we get what we think that we really want, that book, or that New York Times bestseller status, or whatever, fill in the blank of that dream that you have, and you've received that, so many times we're prone to just move forward, just let God know, we'll let him know when we need him.

And I believe the Lord in his wisdom allows us to get little by little so that at every step of the way, we realize he's the one going before us.

He's the one opening the way.

He's the one giving us the promises and saying they will be achieved, but it'll be in my way and my timing because otherwise you'd be overwhelmed.

You wouldn't be ready, son.

You wouldn't be ready, daughter.

I've got everything mapped out for you.

I've got a perfect plan for you, Laura, a perfect plan for you, Sheila, a perfect plan for you, Lynn.

Each one of you, I'm gonna take through a process of a little by little.
