You say, oh Lord,

Thank you for not answering that prayer that I lifted up six months ago.

Thank you for not answering that prayer.

How many of you have ever thanked the Lord for not giving you something you wanted six months ago because you now realize you wouldn't have been ready for that?

You would not have been ready.

Pride would have set in and you would have said,

God, get behind me.

I'm moving forward.

I mean, as crazy as that sounds, we live our lives like that sometimes.

This self-sufficient nausea, this nauseous gas that takes over, puts us in deception.

And so I want to say to each of you, maybe the Lord's giving you a vision of a promised land to come.

With your book or with another project, maybe with...

maybe with something that he's working out in your life or your family.

I want to say, if he's given you that, and you know, you've seen a vision, you've heard from the Lord, he's given you a hint, he's given you something to get excited and hopeful about.

If that's the case, embrace it,

but also embrace the little by little process that he has for you.

And I believe for every one of us, whatever process that is, it will be worth the wait.

It will be worth the fact that he's not just doing it in six months or a year, maybe even two years.

It will be worth the wait, though, for every little thing he's going to mold and shape in your life and your character.

If we can submit to that, we know that God has our best in mind.
