And she basically argues that the fact that we are now seeing this
has really normalised it for her and that she is watching it with the empathy of somebody who has just been through it themselves.
So she opens the piece by admitting that when she announced her divorce to her friends, several of them finally felt comfortable telling her that they really disliked her ex-husband and they never thought he was good enough for her.
