Now I promise I wasn't in any way jealous of you taking the MC role because I was quite happy to sit back.

I'm like, well that's less for me to do.

That's great.

But I thought

Professor of psychiatry, is he not going to be a little bit stuffy?

I didn't expect you to have the fun personality that you have.

Do you come up against that a lot?

So tell me about studying and specializing in psychiatry.

Why did you choose that?

And what drew you to this area that even in school you were saying it's it's, you know, e b an economist or a psychiatrist?

Well, who knows how many future psychiatrists are being uh inspired by you when you take to the stage?

I'd imagine many.

Um and what is the difference for people who don't know between psychology and why we do what we do and psychiatry?

It's sort of come to the fore now the difference.

Now we're getting so many more diagnoses in the area of neurodivergence.

And often perhaps parents or people who get a diagnosis will know you can't get medication, as you've said, from the psychologist who's helped you to understand who you are, who may have even given you that diagnosis.

you then need to go on to a psychiatrist and certainly when it comes to children, they can be harder to find than others.
