We would check the labels of those ingredients.
So we'd go into the freezer, we'd go into the fridge, we'd check the original packaging and just make sure that the allergens match up that way.
Yes, I am very particular about having disinfectant all the time and my family, they're not, they often call me the fun police because I would give out if I see them thawing chicken on the counter or anything like that.
Exactly, yeah.
We get complaints all the time of people who've had food poisoning and some people can be hospitalised from it.
So it is very serious and we do take it very, very seriously.
Yeah, the way they prepare it, you know, they should really have separate sections and separate equipment for dealing with raw meat compared to ready to eat foods or even the way they're storing it.
Sometimes, you know, you might go into a restaurant and you see that they're storing all the raw meat on top of, you know, salad.
And that's a big no-no.
Yeah, that food will have to be thrown out then because they can't serve that.
Yes, but look, as I said, it's only a small number of businesses.
No, the ones that we find in Ireland, they generally come in from consignments from other countries.
They're not the big ones that you might see on holidays while you're sitting by the pool.
They're generally a lot smaller and it comes in with the eggs basically on consignments of food and then they hatch and then they're really, really difficult to get rid of once they get into a food business.
Okay, and how do we get rid of them?
So if you get a pest control company in, they can spray for them and we also check to see if they have gotten a pest control company in.
