And I believe that part of essentially how this quote unquote free speech speech bill works is that if you feel as though your ability to express free speech is being
being somehow smothered or covered up by someone else, you then have a claim to file against them.
then finally we come to kind of a the issue that had been
Hovering over the legislature for so much of the session, and that was, of course, property taxes.
I mean, also the challenge being that most property taxes are leveled by cities and counties, so the uh state government doesn't even get a huge amount of say in them.
Um, there was a property tax bill passed right as legislators left.

that and so they put together kind of a revised version of that during the last couple of days.
Well, and it's I mean, it's a lot of drama.
It really highlights, I think, something that we've also mentioned before, which is as th much as we talk about Democrats versus Republicans, there's real cross-chamber tension.
You know, the House as a body has certain things it's want it wants, the Senate as a body has certain things it things it wants.
To an extent, it's it's just the different leagues of Republicans.
Republicans, you know, the Republicans in the Senate are different than Republicans in the House, but there are real there are just real differences of opinion there and it really stymied the property tax discussion this year.
Uh, given the realities of campaign season, which pretty much everyone has now jumped into, it would be surprising.
But of course stranger things have happened.
Yeah, although that would then be a a surefire way to perhaps get some get some bills passed that she wouldn't wouldn't want to deal with.
I also want to just emphasize for folks who are listening or watching, this is our best understanding of all of these bills and all of this legislative action at this time.
As we have said before, so much happens in such a short amount of time here that honestly, throughout Thursday and Friday, and then frankly, over this weekend, we're all still trying to figure out.
Everything out.
You know, there are intricacies and clauses and things going on here that that frankly I suspect a lot of the lawmakers don't understand or quite know about either.
