Well, and it's and it's important to note too that um and you know this is perhaps getting a little bit into the process side of of the equation, what our our new series is about.
You know, the governor and Democrats would likely be open to collaborating with Republicans on all manner of legislation, um, including perhaps some of these bills that were vetoed, d you know, depending on the subjects.
It's just that there's just no interest from Republicans to necessarily do that.
Well and the I mean, I think the big kind of supposedly bipartisan thing this year was the cell phone ban for high schools that did eventually make it through.
But that was that was one.
Yeah.
Uh you know, moving moving uh on, Sherman, you were talking about uh the line item uh vetoes uh in the budget.
The budget, as we've said, as we've talked about throughout this uh podcast series, the one thing that the legislature has to do, they have to pass a budget.
That budget also has to be balanced.
Um you know, it has to add
up to it has to zero out by the end, even if that means dipping into the savings account as it does again this year.
Uh what were some sticking points there on the budget?
Um in terms of other vetoes uh that Kelly issued from that big bountiful bevy of uh vetoes, uh several were uh sustained, as in there were not sufficient votes to override them.
What were a handful of those?
necessarily the entire thing.
Well, like a lot of things that we've talked about uh before, uh, again in these videos this session, so many of these bills establish essentially bases for people to file civil claims against other people or other institutions.
