And what ministers have done ever since, since about 2015, is lift the ceiling at which the USC applies at any kind of significant rate.

So I suppose there's two ways in which the Irish system stands out, if you like.

One is that it charges a bit more to higher income people, particularly higher income single people.

The OECD figures kind of take in the allowances that people get for their children, but they also take in...

child benefit payments and other kind of direct payments and compare those across countries.

So the Irish system is relatively... Generous in that respect.
