Yeah, the marginal rate, where it kicks in, are both unusual in Ireland.
So we have a relatively high marginal rate.
particularly for people earning over, particularly when it goes over 50%, when it goes to 52%, and indeed 56% for self-employed people earning over 100,000 due to the special USC levy that they pay.
So that is unusual across the OECD.
Most marginal rates would be below 50%.
There are some exceptions to that.
So the scale of the marginal rate is relatively high here.
And the other unusual factor, as you say, is the income level that it kicks in.
So in a lot of other countries, the higher marginal rate wouldn't kick in until significantly higher income levels.
