Look, I think that is the best approach.
I mean, Delaney was saying before that she is very assertive about it.

And I think that that's just a great approach because so many problems come about because we're not upfront or we're not just being explicit and assertive about what we want.

The theme we keep coming back to with casual relationships is when feelings get involved, feelings of emotional connection and even love, that's when things get very complex and messy, as you say.
Well I think you need to be really clear about your intentions right from the start.
