You know, his last start was really good.
I think it was the first time he's looked more like that version of Reese Olsen, who was just in command, who was making it look easy out there on the mound.
I think Reese Olsen is one of the more underrated pitchers in baseball when he's at his best, but he has missed time with injury.
He had a shoulder thing last year that cost him some time and wasn't quite himself when he got back.
So to your point, um,
We finally saw that glimpse of, okay, this is Reese.
The Tigers feel comfortable with him going deep into the game.
But we need to see him probably string together a run of a few good starts before you can kind of really pencil him in as being that guy again.
I think that's the case for almost anyone who's coming off the injured list.
It was a finger issue.
It's not like it was anything major or terrible.
But, yeah, we're trying to see him shake off the rust, get in a rhythm.
His last time out was a good step forward in doing that.
Yeah, for sure.
Casey has a really good story from number one overall pick to a guy who had Tommy John surgery and missed a lot of time to a guy who wasn't meeting outside expectations or his own standards.
His own standards are probably higher than the outside expectations ever were.
So to see him make the all-star game this year was really cool.
And then it's a reminder that this thing is a constant battle to succeed at this level, right?
His ERA has jumped nearly a full run in his past two outings.
