And that's one of the things that's pretty interesting.
They've been a great base running team the past few years.
They go first to third at the highest rate in baseball.
Um, things like that.
They they really value taking the extra base when the ball is in play.
And I've asked this question like twice a year.
Every year I've covered the Tigers, trying to figure out why they don't give the green light at second.
And I've never got like their full analytical breakdown, but it's pretty clear.
They just don't think it's worth the risk.
They don't think it's worth risking the out on the bases, which is kind of their traditional money ball-esque formula, right?
Um, so it was an interesting organizational philosophy because they valued taking the extra base not just through the stolen base.
And now you see them.
I when I wrote that, there were signs of a subtle shift, and now it's kind of shifted pretty quickly.
Seems to me they realize.
Maybe they were leaving something on the table.
I never thought the Tigers had to be a top five Steels team, but I didn't really think they should be 29th or 30th either, given some speed.
And now, again, as I've mentioned, these young guys suddenly they do have a lineup with um more speed, more of that skill set.
And and it seems like they're taking advantage of it.
Maybe it helps when again it feels like they're a little bit more in.
