Let's see what our success rate ends up being.

Let's see what it looks like.

And we can use that to inform how we want to play going forward.

And you're right.

And for a bulk of this year, the Tigers were, for the first time in a long time, a a pretty good home run team.

Uh and the other side, something AJ Hinch has mentioned, is like, well,

You know, if you're in those ruts and you don't have guys one base very often, uh, does that create an even higher threshold for kind of taking that gamble and trying to steal second base?

Through much of Pinch's tenure, the Tigers have not been a great one base percentage team.

So you have a fewer opportunities to steal, and B, when you don't have a ton of traffic, every out is a little bit more precious.

And and so I think that was certainly part of the calculus as well.

Well.

Yeah, uh I I don't know that there was a lot of easing in.

It sounds like AJ kinda called, you know, all the names you just mentioned in and maybe a couple others, Zach McKinstree and said, Hey, this is the direction the team's going.

You were going to play less than September.

That's just how it is.

If you want to talk about it, I'll explain it.

But you know, this this is the reality.

I think AJ framed them as not easy conversations, but very direct conversations.

And I think that's one of Hinge's strengths: being a good communicator, just being straight up.
