And with Torkleson, I would note when the Tigers signed Gleber Torres two years ago, they were intent on moving Colt Keith to first base.

And it kind of felt like Torkelson was maybe being pushed out then.

Well, then his bat caught fire.

He reasserted himself.

But I remember that spring, you know, being like, uh, how are you gonna carry Torquelson if Colt Keith is your first baseman?

And the Tigers were pretty mad at

That, like, no, we can still find a way to use him.

Uh, whether that's the short side of Platoon, he could still DH.

They had him go play right field in a spring training game or two.

So maybe that's something that comes back into the fold.

I don't know.

It is interesting to think though that even two years ago, when it seemed like he was headed for a lesser role, uh

Uh they were still pretty adamant they could carry him on the roster.

So that would be interesting if they wanted to continue this first base platoon um with Keith and Torquelson.

Is that actually like an effective use of a roster spot?

Uh I'd be curious to see what that looked like in practice.
