Um, I think there's certainly fans out there who were like, Well, why don't they just move on from twerk?
I it's a valid question at the same time.
You have to have a better replacement.
And for all his faults, Torklon, man, the guy can connect.
The guy has what three seasons of 23 homers in the majors already, two of those being 30 plus homer seasons.
The defense doesn't grade out well, which has always been interesting because the eye test tends to look pretty good.
Um, you wish he were a little more well-rounded hitter.
You wish the average were or OBP were higher, but
I'm not sure how much that's gonna change at this point in his career.
He's obviously imperfect, but yeah, uh teams don't really just move on from guys like that until they have to.
At the same time, given how this year is gone, you would think the Tigers are gonna have to find some way to
Shuffle the deck and and try to restructure their positional playing core a little bit.
So I don't know what Torkelson's future holds.
I think it's it's really, really interesting.
Um and it might depend on what else is out there.
The free agent market is not great.
Uh we haven't seen the Tigers under Scott Harris make a lot of impact trades at the major league level.
So could that change?
Um there are, I think, a lot of moving parts as the Tigers figure.
figure out what they want next year's roster to look like.
