There's a huge part of the game that actually is about the economy, buying and selling, trading.

And your currency in this game, I love this, is bottle caps.

Another time I will rant about this, but if we're in a post-apocalyptic world, I don't think gold is necessarily going to be the currency that gets traded.

I think there's some arbitrary level to something like what people actually accept in exchange, and there's no reason it couldn't be bottle caps.

Especially, you know, what am I going to melt down gold for in a post-apocalyptic wasteland?

Whereas competitive dynamics are much more of a vibe.

How do different players engage with one another or don't?

And then how does that impact the larger world?

I would say regulation.

Competition, cooperation are kind of two sides of the same coin in a lot of ways.

But regulation really stands out.

First, it's more of a directive.

But second, companies of sufficient size can often guide regulation in a way that stifles their competition.

or unless the larger organizations, in an above-board way, engage in coopetition, often at the expense of smaller entrants.
