We're kind of in a position where we're running faster to stand still.
We're recycling more waste now than we were five years ago.
However, recycling rates are stagnant because there's more and more packaging coming onto the market.
No, no, I think if we look at waste management now to 30 years ago, it's night and day.
And waste management companies have played, you know, the really important part in moving us there.
But the problem is there's just too much stuff coming into Ireland for us to deal with.
And we poor saps at the bottom of the ladder are the ones dealing with it.
So people get very disheartened because they're going, I'm using the recycling bins properly.
I'm doing my best, but I'm getting it wrong.
And there's more and more waste.
And what can I do about this?
So we have to reduce the amount of waste that's coming in for a sense.
We have to look at systems of reuse that we see in other countries across Europe.
Again, that helped to just reduce the amount of packaging that's on the market, you know.
They're putting the wrong stuff in the green bin.
Friendly emails.
From our experience,
Most people want to get it right.
They want to put the right stuff into the right bin.
And I think if we have those cameras, just the information and, you know, as far as I can see, they're not getting personal details or anything sensitive.
