The strengths are not in the Max DeVore or the strength is not in any jump scare or the ghosts themselves.
The strength is the broken remnants of a man whose life has been devastated upon the loss of the love of his life and him trying to pick up the pieces and finding connection and finding relationship and
just putting the bones to rest, the bones being the grief, so that he can move on.
That's the strength.
The strength isn't the plot.
