does not allow for him to be able to mine the character for the emotional depths that I would like to see someone with the acting caliber of Pierce Brosnan be able to do.

having jump scare reactions uh and fighting trees and unfortunately that's what we get and that's what uh unfortunately for pierce brosnan that that's what he he gets to do maddie and kyra are barely characters here you know uh you know melissa george is just a uh you know she's not quite a manic pixie dream girl but she's not a character um
She is a super thin, paper thin, quasi love interest here with a daughter who functions as a plot device.
And Maddie is just that plot device come to life.
I'm sorry, Kyra is just that plot device come to life.
There's nothing there.
And the Max DeVore of it all, I mean, there was an opportunity to expand this plotline and thread from the book.
And the movie, it just feels out of place.
I know that it ties into the overall ghost story and the curse.
