And that's...
critical if you're going to have success you need that depth and you need the depth scoring you look at you know the bottom six we talked about it last week it's got to be improved it's it it has to be and and there's the perception out there and it falls on chris knoblock shoulders a lot and in my opinion unfairly like if playing defense is just
a decision that you make i'm going to play defense let's get some stiffs off the street and put them in gear and make sure that they're attentive to the defensive side of the game but it's not it's a skill level to play defense and you i mean our our bottom six your third line has to be
as good or better defensively than your top lines.
I mean, they're not going to score at the level, but when you're protecting a lead, you rely on those third line and the good teams have a fourth line, which we did when we won Cups.
We had, you know, great two lines, obviously, and then we had a third line and a fourth line that would compete for ice time in the third period.
And had identity and could support the team with toughness.
And you could kill a penalty, but we just, we do not have,
the level of player on our bottom six that the top teams in the league have.
You look at Carolina, what we talk about their third line is Stahl, Martinuk, and Ehlers.
Yeah, well, that line's the best line in hockey right now.
Taylor Hall and Stan Colvin and little Blake's kid.
Yeah.
Jason Blake.
Jason Blake.
Yeah, Jackson Blake.
Taylor Hall's having a hell of a run.
Yeah, they're playing good.
That Stankhoven's playing unreal.
And then they roll out.
