And you think, my God, we were spoiled back then.
Absolutely spoiled.
And it might be that the era we're living in now, you've essentially got what would have been considered an okay-ish film 10, 15, 20 years ago, is now hailed as this all-conquering masterpiece.
I've heard some people talk about this as being one of the greatest movies ever made.
No.
And it's insane.
It's like, how many movies have you watched, man?
It's literally just a normal 80s or 90s action movie.
Perfectly fun, perfectly serviceable.
The plot doesn't do anything particularly revolutionary.
It's just a solid movie.
And because that is so rare nowadays, it does get hailed as this breakthrough film that no one saw coming.
Whereas, like I say, if it had come out 20 years ago, people would have just said, eh, it's okay, I guess.
No, I think, you know, performance-wise, like, I'm not sure how close Russell Crowe is in terms of Goering, and I think maybe it takes a few historical liberties.
I would have rather seen it in a wider context, but, yeah, it was fine.
Like, I watched it on a flight.
I didn't watch it in the cinema, but I was pretty entertained by it.
You know, you kind of know where it's going, ultimately, but perfectly fine movie, I think.
Yeah, I mean, his part was very much cut down and simplified.
