So I I think a lot of it I would say does resolve down into those two things still.

But I think obviously yeah at the higher levels it isn't something that can be maybe taught as mechanistically in one lesson.

So if we are saying that vocabulary is an important factor, there are some things you can do in a lesson or two that will help.

There are other things that are just like the slow accretion over like years.

So it isn't necessarily like something where you can say, Well, this is a quick fix.

Yeah, so I I think my point is writing is a really complex skill.

It's one of the hardest things we ask students to do.

I think we forget sometimes how hard it is.

Um, you know, there's been research I think done on this that shows when you have undergraduates writing, it's sort of the equivalent levels of sort of concentrations you would get in a mid game chess game of chess, which is uh quite deep hard thought.

So writing is hard.

One of the hardest things we ask students to do, they've got to hold in mind all these things about what we've said about sentence structure and vocabulary.

They've also got to hold in mind all of the things about the thing they're actually writing about.

So it's not easy, it's a complex skill.

And in that sense, you might compare the production of a really good piece of writing to running a marathon.

And that it's like, you know, that order of complexity.

It's a big skill.

And how do you prepare for that?

And so you nobody you know, I think it's a a good analogy here to think how do you prepare for running a marathon?

Like even elites do not go out and run a marathon every training session.

And certainly if you're a novice, there is absolutely no way you would say to a novice who wants to run a marathon, just run a marathon your first training session.
