Um and you know, there's a lot of students, they're sort of they are a bit pre-literate and they're sort of mark making a bit and it's you know, the the letters uh formation is weak and the the way they spell once upon a time as one word, W U U N S A P O N, like when we first saw these, I was like, What is going on here?
Um and then you would see it and you'd go, Oh, it's once upon a time.
Um and then they will all kind of, you know, they'll still be like putting in the dots for spaces.
So absolutely
Absolutely like the reception year one.
It's it's almost like yeah, something different that you're looking at there for sure.
And the the whole thing around like, you know, posture, um, you know, I've spoken to a lot of people out hand drawing and it's about core strength and it's about gross motor skill, fine motor skill.
You know, it's all all those kind of things before you even get into the like actually what have they written here.
Yeah.
And and those early years I think put teachers really understand that.
And I also think that's one of the reasons why we have to be really wary about typed responses.
Like I'm really keen on keeping.
the physical handwriting for a number of reasons.
And I think uh you know
getting students all those things around the sitting up straight, the posture, uh the writing on lines, uh the not kind of like sloping up and and getting them to write in in in straight lines, all all of those things are really important.
and take practice and take time and as you say are are part of of what it is to learn to write.
Yeah, so I think
point I approach to sort of AI and ed tech is we are a you know, no more marking, we are an ed tech company.
We've been using technology in some quite innovative ways for, you know, ten years now.
We use AI, we're not averse to AI.
