I loved it.
And also it was so different from family life as a steelworker's daughter with three brothers.
There was this thing that was beautiful.
And my step-grandfather used to take me to the Orthodox church as well.
So we'd hear the music, the polyphonic music.
I used to love it.
I think one of the joys of being a cradle Catholic is you don't really ever have to ask yourself that question.
It's just like it's something you have.
It's yours.
It accompanies you.
And sometimes you're more that way and sometimes you're not.
But certainly as I get older...
Hugely, at the right points for people and in different ways for people.
It might not put everything right, but it's a good, I think it's a great psychological technique.
I mean, like I say, I studied with the Jesuits and not just confession, but things like Ignatius' spiritual exercises are written by the great, great psychologist.
It's an understanding of human nature.
And we've lost, we lose a lot of that when we think we can recreate it all ourselves in...
Yeah, you can offload.
I think his point there about the rumination, the over-obsession with the self, which is the downfall of so many poor young people who are just, because of social media and things like that, they're constantly looking at themselves and thinking about how they look and what they think.
When I was a child, the thing about the nuns, you would know they loved your soul, but they were totally not, you know, you were not a thing of interest.
