I got very close with the leadership of the Senate Intelligence Committee and the Senate Armed Services Committee.

They were introducing me to people.

They were opening doors for me.

And some of the people that I met through them

were actually involved in recovery programs and were going to do interviews and then ultimately decided not to and that they thought it would cost them their lives.

Two people used the same words with me, actually.

It was very interesting.

The word forfeiting, which I had never heard anyone use in that kind of context, right?
