And then she wrote a book about the value of sadness called Bittersweet.

And she has this observation about today's social media environment, which is that we seem to have two modes, a kind of toxic positivity, hashtag blessed,

Or, right?

Hashtag blessed, I love that.

Or we have this RAGE, all caps, condemnation, cancellation mode.

And that seems to be all that our culture is comfortable with.

Whereas what you and I are hopefully trying to do today, which is just be real about the struggles of being a human being in whatever situation you find yourself,

I think we need more of that on our quote unquote social media, which I think is often quite antisocial.

And toxic positivity, I think, is one of the problems.

I think maybe that's true for you.

And as you said before, it's up to everybody to make that decision.

But I do think we should destigmatize these medications.

They are an option.

They're an imperfect option.

But if you're working with your doctor, as you said earlier, and that is something that the doctor suggests, it's worth investigating as an option.

There are no silver bullets.

I actually am kind of of the view that we should be investigating all options.
