The word that seems to be missing in any conversation is just the notion of sacrifice.
That that's just kind of sacrifice of any kind seems to be off the table, even the concept of it, which, you know, I find disappointing.

United Nations Ambassador Jack Danforth about his book, The Relevance of Religion, How Faithful People Can Change Politics.
So many view religion as a force that kind of moves people apart.
You know, a lot of wars have been fought over religion.

You see religion's purpose as bringing people together and respecting differences.
Practically, how can religious people or religious organizations bring people from different religions or people with no religion at all, no faith together?
I agree.
By the way, taking that same concept, when you served in Congress, because I think to really trust and work with other people and see them as a human being, you have to get to know them.
