I left that day knowing they were sleeping that night in those flats, in those houses.
And I didn't, in that moment, do anything about it.
And maybe subconsciously, throughout that journey, two or three years, I've always felt guilty about that because I didn't, in that moment, scoop them up, get them in a car and drive them away and say to ITV, we need to get a hotel for these people.
They can't live there.
It's because over that journey, I think I move away through the journey I've been on.

I'd go home and think about families all the time.
That may be, I'm not, it feels like therapy now with you, Neil.
But maybe for the first time in that, I felt like I can't do that again.
In this situation, I have to stop this happening.
I can't walk away.
Because actually in that situation, we would have got better footage if I hadn't done what I did.
but I chose to stop doing that.
And so that's where I feel I did move into campaign.
I suppose it kind of comes down to the ultimate question of what is journalism and what a journalist's role is.
I still feel like I reported the facts as I found them.
I didn't go into any situation with a preconceived idea.
